Surprisingly, I could not find a video or detailed guide on how to do this, the closest most relevant thread I found was this.
I took some pictures that hopefully guide others on how to replace the blade, but it is extremely easy.
First snap out at by pulling the blade away at a approximate 90 degree angle, if it doesn't feel like it's coming out, just pull harder.
This picture shows how the blade aligns:
Here is another alignment picture as I was snapping the new one back in:
You snap by pushing it hard back in, again approximately 90 degree angle and watching for the proper alignment.

I just finished doing this on my Leaf. The MyNissanLeaf forum was a little confused about this, but your post shows it exactly how it works. If you can't get it at first, just keep manipulating it and it will become obvious soon enough.

What size is the blade? The owner's manual doesn't say. 10"?

I would add two things. Put a bit of oil on the new one to help it slip in and save the old wiper assembly and replace just the rubber steel part instead of the holder in the future.
My 2018 rear wiper seems to be "off track" since going through a car wash. It will no longer remain on the windshield. It will rotate back and forth below the wind shield.

Unfortunately when I "pulled harder" the arm snapped in two. Now I need a new arm.
